2000 Jeep TJ Engine Occasional "Bucking"

Hi Guys,

I have a 2000 Jeep TJ with a 4.0L engine and a 5 speed manual transmission that runs beautifully; most of the time. Every once in a while my oil pressure goes all the way to 80 psi and the Jeep does a very aggresive "Bucking" type of behavior. Normally it happens on the highway in higher gears like 3rd or 4th. I'm not sure what to do about it because it isn't happening very often, but it is scary when it does. What are your thoughts on any problems or solutions.

Well if your oil pressure actually gets that high that means you ever restrictions somewhere. It may sound crazy but if you get a restriction the area in front of the restriction will have too much oil pressure but the area passed the restriction will have low oil pressure in the engine will be damaged have a mechanic check the oil system out immediately
