Hi Scotty - love the videos - not a question just a thank you really for the great info & inspiration on your show. Me & my father used to do as much as possible on our cars - gearbox, engine stripdowns etc as Ma did not approve garage charges. I now appreciate why he said he ached after spending a deserved rest of a weekend changing a clutch with me - I didn't notice in my 20's but do now in my 60's!
Recently changed the battery on my Saab 2.0 2000 after seeing yr advice on barreries - shoehorned a 75a/h in & it drives much better -: like an extra 2-3 bhp - who knew a drain on your alternator would make such a difference & better mpg too!
Keep up the good work & best to you sir!

Saabs from the 9000-on are particularly sensitive to battery condition, and also tend to eat batteries pretty quickly due to high underhood temperatures. I've rarely gotten more than 3 years out of a battery on the turbocharged models. Those just throw off a lot of heat.
I know what you mean about noticing those aging, aching joints - Scotty still seems pretty limber though!
I did OK then - been in there since 2003!! Cheers
