I am inheriting a 2000 Toyota Avalon with only about 30000 miles. Is there anything in particular that I need to be aware of, or do when I get it?

30K miles??? The car sure wasn't driven much. If you plan on using this as car as a daily driver, and it's 24 years old, you best check everything. Anything rubber needs to be inspected: radiator hoses, brake hoses, belts, tires, cv joint boots. Scotty did a video recently on what one should do to get an old truck road-worthy again. His advice applies here also: https://youtu.be/yPB5bgl8YLg?t=380
