Hello guys I'm back with my ragedy Toyota celica lol and i recently had a head problem... Here how it went i bought the car for 1400 dollars and when i bought it everything was good then 1 day i was driving down the road and the car just shut off wouldn't start back up so i had it towed home i ripped the valve cover off and find out my timing chain came off of the exhaust cam so i knew i bent valves smh. But i got a used head from the yard and i checked the valve seats with water no leaks. So i put the head on the block with the correct specs to torque it down.. My question is that could that head i got from the yard be any good i know i probably messed up not taking it to a machine shop first before installation?? Help plz i love my celica and plan on keeping her??

Well finish putting all together started up and see how it runs also do a compression test when you're done

@scottykilmer
I did a compression test and the numbers was ok #1 165psi. #2 168psi. #3 165psi. #4 170psi the numbers look low for the 2zz engine i don't see no leaks and when i start it up i smell a little bit of coolant and sweet smell out tail pipe??? Do i need to take everything back apart and take the head to make sure it ain't got no cracks in it???
