My toyota tacoma. 167241 mileage

I was driving on the freeway when Sunway the truck was hesitating and when I try to accelerate the check engine light would come on so the next day I took it to AutoZone and they determine that it's going to need a replacement cylinder head after that I decided to buy spark plugs and Spark wires and I still get the misfire does that mean the cylinder head is damaged. They use there obd scanner . my truck has the 2.7 engine how do I check the coils on the fuel injector?

You swap them. Put the bad coil in a cylinder that reads normally, and put the coil from the cylinder that reads normally into the one that produces a DTC. If the DTC moves, then it's the coil. If it does not, then the coil isn't the problem.

So, let's say you have a P301. (First firing cylinder). Swap the coil, let's say to cylinder 4. Clear the codes, and then have them read again. If the new reading is P304, then it's the coil. If it's still P0301, move on to the next suspect.

There is also another method:

Good luck.
