Hello friends, I have a 2001 Buick lesabre limited. About 15,000 miles ago I had the transmission rebuilt for it quit shifting and would slam into gears. Here recently with the weather getting colder I’ve noticed something strange. Right when I drive off for work in the morning if it’s below about 50 degrees and the car is cold, I’ll take off in drive and it seems like the car takes off in 3rd gear. It mostly just revs and if I don’t back off the gas it will finally SLAM into 1st gear. It does this until engine temperature gets about about 80 degrees. Any ideas?! I checked the trans fluid and it’s still bright red and right to the max mark. Also when I got the trans rebuilt I also replaced the transmission wiring harness but that was 15,000 miles ago and it’s been working fine until now. Anything would help, thanks.
