Hello, I pray that you can help me fix my car. The tags are now expired due to I can get it smogged. My dash gauges started acting up about a year ago but only once in a while. then started doing it worse so that they stopped working at all. For the past 6 months. I have been driving it anyway then about 2 months ago I had to put the battery charger on it dead battery, the battery does that every once in a while it would go dead anyways next morning I took the charge off and was going to a doctors appt 20 mins away. I start the car and all the gauges were working but when I left the doctor's to come back I started the car and No gauges again and they haven't come on since. I took the dash gauges out 2 times already to check if there were burn spots but there's not everything looks good. I put an engine code tester on it and the codes were P1693, P1698, AND P1192. THAT WAS about 4 months ago. So my tags were due Dec so I took it in to try and smog it but the man said it had no communication so he couldn't test it. Well I have been doing a lot of research trying to figure it out I know a little about cars so i went out the other day I borrowed a test light and tested the fuses under the hood and they were all good except for 2 they are not blown but the tester does light up with the key off or on. I also check most of the wires under the hood to see if any were messed up I couldn't get under the car because I'm 62 years old and not in very good health but I didn't find any problems but the fuses. Well, I went out and change those fuses and it made no difference. Do you have any advice for me on what it could be?   Thank you

Well some of your cards have to do with the inlet air temperature sensor. That's a sensor on hand. Take air under the hood and believe it or not if censor short out they can destroy the whole computer system and knock everything out. My advice would be to walk around under the hood and unplug all the sensors. Just to see if when you unplug one the dash lights come back on. Then you could replace that sensor but realize it may have shorted out things and destroyed stuff. So unplugging it won't make them work anymore. Good luck!

Thank you I wanted to add that today I went back out to my car with a test light and the 2 fuses under the hood in the fuse box # 24 02SSR/ALT/EGR and #25 Injector/coil have no power to them. I checked with a test light with the key off and on. Also, I checked the fuses inside the car and there are 2 10 amp fuses with no power for the front left and front right headlights but my headlights work. Could it be a relay under the hood? I'm not sure how to test if they are good or not. Thank you for your time.
