Had my original engine pop a spark plug on my 2001 F150, the 4.6 2 valve, and when it had blown the plug, the shop had told me, due to there being internal damage in the cylinder walls and piston (because of the spark plug popping out), the engine cannot be used to do the spark plug thread insert repair. We went with a remanufactured engine replacement. But with this remanufactured engine, I have noticed ticking on cold startup, upper end valve train sounding, and goes away when building oil pressure, maybe 15 secs. This never happened on my original engine. Why is it doing this on a remanufactured one??

Many reasons. That would be something to ask the shop that provided it. Did it come with a guarantee?
