Bought Ford truck and the heater hoses were by passed. So watched a video to show how to undo and hook back up. Tried it and worked. Even did the flush a few days later I noticed smoke coming through my vents. Did I do something wrong or mess up something?

Might be a leak in the heater core and steam coming in. Are you sure its smoke? It could be burning oil being sucked through the a/c intake. Are there any puddles in your floorboard?

It smelled like radiator fluid. No puddles of any kind

someone bypassed the heater because it was leaking
