So got this car for trade work they had an overheating issue transmission had a rebuild about 10000 miles ago and I'm getting p0780 replaced the shift solenoids and the secondary speed shaft sensor but has a hard shift in reverse and doesn't want to go out of first gear sometimes has a hard time shifting out of it then the code pops up and doesn't want to go really anywhere at 2000 rpm
Well I can just about tell you that the guy didn't rebuild it correctly 10,000 miles ago and that's why it's acting up. Those are extremely hard transmissions to rebuild. The only guy would trust are people who do nothing but rebuild Honda automatic transmissions only. I've seen too many screw-ups on people attempting to rebuild a complex Honda motorcycle type design transmission.
Definitely a problem with the shift control solenoid. Somebody screwed up.
