Hi Scotty, I really enjoy your channel. I have a 2013 Hyundai Elantra with 134k kilometres. Last fall I began experiencing an issue with cold starts. The engine tends to hiccup for the first 15 minutes of driving and when stopped at a light you can feel that hiccup. The dealer looked at it and said that the car just needs to warmup longer on a cold start as it’s an older vehicle. They said that there was a stop stall code that they “fixed”. It went away for 3 days then returned.
So I bought a scan tool from one of your video suggestions. After a few tries I had a code for the upstream O2 sensor which was wiped soon after when my battery died and needed replacing. I have used the scan tool several times since with no code, even though the issue is worse than before. A part from the O2 sensor what else can it be? Thanks. All the best. -Chris
Well it can be the sensor but I was Hyundai is more often. It's just everything gets worn from age but sometimes clean and can fix it. So my advice is for you replace super expensive fuel injectors tie my friend Bernie's cleaners. He runs a company in Albuquerque, New Mexico that's called ATS. So just Google ATS fuel cleaner Albuquerque New Mexico. It is the only one that really works quite well
