Hey Scotty!
I have a 2001 Jaguar S-Type, automatic trans, with 95,000 miles on it. I got it for 2,000 because it sat for 5 years and the seller wanted to get a used BMW (LOL). It drives decently well after we got through the old gas. Our question is, should we flush the tranny? The Jag system requires a special machine to continuously flush out the old fluid with new fluid, so we can only flush it. I saw that you do not recommend flushing transmissions on older cars, but the Jag shifts a little late and we want it to last as long as possible.
Thanks!
My quick google search says that you have a sealed transmission that has a drain plug and a fill plug, so you should be able to do a drain and fill. Transmission flushes are likely to cause problems, I would definitely NOT do a flush.
Do not flush it. Just do a drain and fill.
Never flush the transmission. Since it is sealed find a place that can do a fluid exchange for you.
