My 2011 Kia Sorento 4cyl. LX (120,000 miles) has a problem sometimes when it starts. When I turn the ignition it will want to start but the idle will drop like a rock to almost nothing (sometimes it will not start) and then rise quickly to a normal setting. This seems to happen (not every time) after I have made an initial trip and then when I want to make another trip when the engine is still sorta warm it will exhibit this problem. I have an inexpensive scanner that is not showing any codes. I hope you or someone can help. Oil changed regularly and air filter changed too. Original plugs too. Thanks! Marty

Hello I bet your throttle intake is dirty, I would clean it first see if that helps

120K on original plugs? Probably time to replace those for starters. Originals good to about 100K, iridium tipped. After that, may want to check fuel pressures, as pump may be weak.
Sounds like a weak battery/alternator. Get them tested.
