2001 mercury marquis LS
I have had a problem with the car not wanting to idol on start up. I have replaced the spark plugs, ignition coles, intake manifold, throttle control censor. It has a 4.6 liter engine,173,000 miles .Also changed the bank 1 passenger side 02 censor. When I get it going, It will be running fine and all at once it will loses power,pushing on gas peddle does nothing,it just dies.Do you have anything for me to try? Thank you Mark
Well there's dozens of things that can do that. I would hook up my scan tool. Analyze it if you're anywhere in there. Clarksville Tennessee or Portsmouth Rhode Island. When I'm there I check them out free and make a video out of it. Now. Could be as simple as you fuel pump starting to go out. Then you won't get any codes or anything on that. It won't tell you. It doesn't know what the fuel pressure is so the computer can't trip any codes. You might check the fuel pump first
