Hey Scotty, I have a 2001 Lexus RX 300 with about 300000 miles on it. It's an all wheel drive and I get a shuttering on acceleration from a stop. It never happens during any other time except from a stop and then takes off. It'll shutter and not go anywhere for a maybe 4 or 5 shutters and then it engages and then goes. What is possibly the problem here?

It is of course possible your transmission is dying, but more information and diagnosis is required to determine that.
It is not clear from your description whether you are just experiencing a shudder while accelerating or whether the transmission shudders without engaging drive, or at times either condition.
When is the last time the transmission was serviced? What is the condition of those nearly 23-year-old engine and transmission mounts? Any looseness in universal joints?
