Acura manual says only use Honda Atf Z1. Discontinued in 2011 and now recommends DW-1. My mechanic says to use Royal Purple. What is your educated recommendation? This is giving me a headache {black}:suspicious: !

I would go with DW-1. Go with what the recommendation fluid is for your car. Why is your mechanic saying that you should use Royal purple?
He say's it's the best on the market and half the price. I don't mind spending the extra. I just want what's best without an argument with him.

Stick to the Honda OEM fluid for ATF.
