Hi Scotty,
I have a 2002 Asian spec Honda Legend, same as the Acura RL with the C35 engine. I have owned since new, now has 130,000 miles and I have done all the maintenance including replacing the brakes, struts, wheel bearings, AC components and my all time favorite, the starter 😡. Great car has served me well, but now the differential pinion has sprung a leak that is quickly getting worse. That’s a 10 hour book job for a $10 seal, plus some other O-rings I’ll need to replace in the process. Is it worth my time and effort or should I just retire it? The engine and transmission are still strong with no signs of problems.
I would fix it since you took care of it and it still has plenty of life left.
Differential out and fixed but the right rear engine mount leaked fluid when I removed it. I vacuum tested it and the actuator seems ok, but I have to assume the fluid leak means the mount is bad and needs replacement?
