Hey I’m wondering if a 2002 Chevy s10 with the 4.3L v6 automatic and 85,000 miles would be a good truck. If so how much should I pay for it ? It’s my landlords and he’s already fixed a lot of common issues like fuel pump, distributer cap, gaskets etc. I want to use it a light duty toy hauler, for my quads. He’s taken care of it.

They are good trucks. Have a mechanic check it out.

That’s not a lot of miles but a lot of years. Get it compression tested.

Assuming it passes inspection it could be an ok option.  S-10s (especially 20-year-old ones) aren’t great tow rigs, but if you keep it real light you should be ok.

valuations are a problem.  Normally I would say it’s worth $3-4000, with the V6.  But used truck valuations are all catywampus these days (square body S10s even more so!). I’ve seen that vintage S10s recently listed at twice that. Be ready to walk.
