I ran across a 2 door 1991 Ford F-250, with extra cab in back. Turbo 5 speed manual trans. Is the 1991 a good diesel engine. And the 1991 Trans, 5 speed. Body looks good. I can go thru and check basic things. Depending on the mileage, I would consider buying it. I'd offer maybe $8500
I’d buy if the truck got a clean bill of health. I think even $8500 is high. I had a 1992 F250 gas that I paid $2,000 for. One thing to watch out on those older Fords is the dual tank system. Eventually either the switch will fail or the check valves will fail.
I am wondering the price. How long ago did you buy the 1992. Used are going up these days. And what state its in.
@jmrec100 price way to high, I bought my 92 in 2019. Sold it to a buddy he loves it runs great but I had the fuel tank problem. Had to drop the rear tank and change the pump. Also had to replace the tank switch as well. The truck is in Montana. I personally wouldn’t pay more than 6k for the truck, and that’s ONLY if it’s in amazing condition. You’re right used price is going up but that doesn’t trump reality. Obviously the choice is yours at the end of the day. Those yrs Ford took trucks seriously and actually built them for what a truck was created for. Definitely could be a good buy, but you could also end up dropping a couple thousand in repairs a few months or a yr down the rd. Also, if you don’t like the Banks turbo just swap it out with something else.
Engine with visible Turbo. Its a Banks Turbo. I'm not crazy about with turbo but seems like a good buy
