I have a 02 neon and when i turn on the defroster or air conditioner my car runs weird it like revs up and down and acts odd..but when i turn it off the car runs perfect...any ideas what this could be?? Thanks
Well either the compressor is shot that keeps draining the engine and doing that which is probably the cost or the idle up valve on the fuel injection system isn't working and making it go up and down pray it's the valve and not the compressor
It blows out cold A/C...where is the idle up valve at on this type of car? Thanks
There is usually a kicker solenoid on the throttle plate of these old cars that raises the idle when the AC is turned on to compensate for the compressor load on the engine. In newer vehicles, this is handled by the computer. See if you have one and check the wiring connections and function when energized.
