I have a 2002 dodge ram 1500 with about 166000 miles I'm financing from an auto broker my issue is sometimes it will crank but wont start I have to crank it 2 or 3 times before it will start some day's its everytime I I start it and sometimes it will go days starting on first try I checked the fuel pump relay and power but haven't had the chance to test the pump itself could it be the pump or maybe the starter going bad one day I put the truck in reverse and it stalled but then started up again no problem

Change the fuel filter first, sometimes that'll fix it. If not I would pressure test the fuel pump because that's the number one cause of that is a weak fuel pump and that thinks old is can be. Wouldn't be surprising if the thing when it's ice cold doesn't pump up pressure all that well
