Hello everyone i have a 2002 f150 v6 I have recently been having loud startups then on my way back home my battery light came on i took it O'Reilly Auto Parts and had my battery tested the cashier said it was fine he said my alternator was going bad I recently replaced my alternator but my truck still won't start and then after i replaced it something electricrcal caught fire it was very small we were able to put it out my uncle thinks it's my starter and some cables I think I need new starter but I want some more input thanks

Sounds like you have a short when the ignition switch is in the run position. If it was on the always on circuits the battery wouldn't be always dead.
What kind of starter did you buy because people will say they "rebuild" and they don't do anything and just sell you piece of junk is reason why I even asked. Make sure you buy a quality starter and hopefully that fixes it and be sure to check all around where it caught fire before you drive it again to be sure nothing else was damaged.
I have no idea what kind of starter have sadly it go replaced 10 years ago
