Hot engine hard to start

2002 Honda Odyssey 200k miles

Van always starts up at cold start and drives great. After it heats up and you turn the car off and try to re start it, it has an extended crank and sometimes doesn’t start until multiple attempts. Cranks hard and fast. No codes. Mechanic was unable to find problem. He says he would need it to not start at all to properly diagnose. Runs great. What can I look for?

Well you have to figure out is it have too much fuel and it's flooded out or does it have not enough fuel. So take out the air filter when it doesn't start spray starting fluid if it immediately starts means you're not pumping fuel and the pump is wearing out. On the other hand, if it still doesn't start, it generally means it's flooding out such as leaking fuel injectors when they're hot. Will flood the engine for a while until that fuel dries out. So it would start first thing in the morning when it said all night but driven hot it floods the engine out
