- Just replaced the spark plugs and air throttle body cleaned. It's idling a little rough. But the strange part is that it has a hiccup or like a cough when I'm in Drive but stopped at a light. No hiccup in neutral or when in Park. What's the deal? Didn't happen before spark plug changed.
Recheck your work area could be a loose vacuum hose sensor wire got damaged but understand and modern vehicles just changing the spark plugs you have to take the coil on plugs off and it can damage the rubber parts inside sometimes you need new ones.
Thanks Scotty! I'm surprised but not surprised you answered 😊 the coils cost too much to replace so I'll live with it 👍
Did you use the correct spark plugs from NGK/Denso? The part numbers of both should be mentioned in your owner’s manual.
I didn't do the work. It was friend of mine that used to work for Nissan and has a motorcycle shop. I'll ask. I know the coils weren't replaced cuz they will cost a bunch. He will look at it again and see if it's just a hose or a sensor like Scotty said.
Definitely make sure they are oem plugs the car will never run right otherwise and check intake gaskets or sealing surfaces for vacuum leaks
