2002 Buick Lesabre . I replaced the motor/ transmission mounts and one clamp broke that holds a weight of some kind. I assume it's a vibration dampner. Can you tell me if this is absolutely necessary to have on both sides of the vehicle. I have included a link to view the picture of an example. Thankyou.

If it wasn't necessary, the manufacturer would not have put it there.
