Hello Everyone,

what it’s your advice on buying this car?

Pass on it.  You do not want to own any JLR products outside of the OEM warranty - they are endless money pits when (not if) things breaks.  It’s best to lease and return before the warranty expires.

Exactly right on the "when not if" something breaks. The bills I have seen for the repairs on those. {black}:amazed: {black}:vomited:

So you think,it’s like flushing money down the drain? {black}:laughingoutloud:

Or like a black hole, your choice! 😉

I really like the Evoque. It is stylish and surprisingly capable offroad.

That being said, I agree with everyone else here who is going to tell you not to buy one. Let me put it this way: Land Rover is the only brand that my wife's credit union does not sell extended warranties on. That should tell you something when a financial institution won't bet on a particular vehicle's reliability.

In my own experience, I drive various Land Rovers all the time and I will repeat myself: I love the way they drive, the comfort and the luxury they have, and the off road capability. But you simply can not make any argument to support them being reliable. They aren't. And when they break, not if, it is never a cheap fix as all those high tech features cost a fortune to keep going as they age.

I guess my bottom line is yes, I see the appeal. But unless you've got money to burn and time to deal with the constant headaches of owning an unreliable vehicle, they simply aren't a good recommendation. I wouldn't recommend you buy one.

Land Rovers/Range Rovers are the worst vehicles today. Not to mention that they are EXPENSIVE in terms of repairs. They are a clear definition of an endless money pit. Everything breaks before it reaches 100k miles. I would run away as fast as possible.

If you wanna buy a Range Rover Evoque, you are better off leasing a brand new one, that is what one of my family friends did and they are pretty happy with their 2020 Range Rover Evoque that they leased for 3 years. Never EVER buy or finance one or even buy a used one because it will put you into bankruptcy over time.

An over priced, overly expensive to own yuppie 4x4.  But they sure look good on the back of a tow truck.

The Evoque used to use a Ford EcoBoost engine.  Which aren’t so great. And they now use a JLR engine. Very untested.
