I just bought a one owner with 160k miles in April 2021.  After 3 months of trouble free driving i got a check engine light, Code P0302 engine misfire in the 2nd cylinder. I got a Spark ignition tester and used it on the 2nd cylinder and saw there was no spark from the ignition coil pack (Original was DEnso). I replaced the front 3 with Duralast and was told by my mechanic they are <expletive removed>, and to get the Denso’s.  I will swap them out soon , was curious if anyone has used Duralast ignition coil packs and if anyone had good or bad experiences with them.  I plan on getting the Denso’s next month at least before the winter hits.

Your mechanic is right.

It’s usually a bad idea to buy non OEM ignition coils for any vehicle. I’ve had terrible luck with aftermarket ignition coils (lasted 3 months) and I had to learn my lesson the hard way.

Buy those Densos!

always good info up in hera!
