Topic starter

2001 Toyota Camry, 160k miles, 2.2L 4cylinder, Automatic, purchased from original owner.

Hearing this vibrating sound from the engine area. Most noticeable between 1800-2100 RPM

I made 2 videos where you can hear the sound, each at different RPMs. In the first video, you can hear it the entire time. In the second video, you can hear the sound going in and out.

Any help appreciated with identifying this engine sound! Thank you!

All right the engine is rather loud pray it just needs the valves adjusted cuz otherwise the cams and or valves are worn internally that you just live with as long as it runs cuz you have to rebuild the engine to fix that

Thank you Scotty, I appreciate the reply sir!
The car leaks oil. The original owner was an elderly couple. I fear that they may have unknowingly run the car low on oil for a period of time which led to this problem.
