OEM Alternator part 27060-20190 Clockwise Rotation. Need a brand new unit. Don't like rebuilds. AISIN makes Part ALTT-00482 claims direct replacement for my vehicle.
But on the box the only OEM part lists 27060-20180. CounterClockwise rotation. All other aspects match. MEGAZIP A Japanese OEM Parts house in Japan no longer sells 27060-20190 as a new unit. They sub it with 27060-20180. I queried MEGAZIP ... no technical explanation other than it will work. If that's the case. why bother even listing the rotational direction on any alternator. Brush wear-in issues, Mechanical cooling .. internal fan running in the wrong direction. I am at a loss. Can you help?
@thdesha , The part you suggest is a re-manufactured unit. I am looking for a brand new unit. I tried a Denso Rebuilt on another vehicle. it lasted 15 months, Voltage continues to decrease after about 20 minutes of driving. Battery was a new AGM X2 24F ...& fully charged

@hixster ,,, Consider this, the oem 27060-20190 has been around for over 20 years. All the units anyone has as a rebuilt-remanufactured has been rebuilt at least 3 times each for each core turned in... that starts to affect reliability., You are hard pressed to get 2 years out of a rebuilt. Great for mechanic shops ... ching. ching making money hand over fist on junk rebuilds.
A new Lexus alternator if available would cost 2500.00 and be no better than the denso that I would use. I have never had a denso alternator that did not last at least 10 years...That's who made the original alternator for all most all Toyota's built. Your original alternator is a rebranded Denso... for the Lexus nameplate.
