My daughter's 2002 Neon's temp gauge will show extreme high temperature after 40 minutes of highway driving. There is no apparent overheating symptoms. No loss of fluid, etc. She has changed the thermostat, and had it in for service, but they couldn't find anything... Ideas? She put a piece of cardboard over the gauge so it doesn't bother her.

Well maybe it actually isn't overheating have a mechanic check it with the thermal gauge but if it is overheating do my video how to fix an overheating car engine
