Looking at a 2002 Nissan Frontier 3.3L V6 Auto Transmission w/ 104K miles. Asking price is $3,800. I know Nissan is nothing compared to Toyota Tacomas. I know Scotty also has mentioned not a big fan of Nissan, but my father has a 95 Hard Body Nissan Truck and still running like new. Were these better built? Do you recommend this 2002 Frontier?
Well they're decent trucks but of course it's 20 years old I would never touch it without having a mechanic like me look at it before you buy
they had severe transmission problems starting in 2005, so you are probably good on that
i was looking at a 2001 yesterday

Late 90’s and Early 2000’s are probably closer to Toyota or Honda quality than Renault quality.
Nissans were much better during that time. For today's market the price is not to bad. If the vehicle checks out I would buy it.
