Scotty, an old guy my dad works with is selling a 2002 nissan frontier xe. The engine was rebuilt and has 5k miles on engine. New breaks tires etc. He took it to a dealer and they offered 3k trade in. He'd rather have the cash so he's selling for 3k cash. Very good deal but should I trust a rebuilt engine? Thanks
Are their paperwork to back up the rebuilding of the engine? Have an independent mechanic check out the truck before you buy it. If the truck is as you describe it is a good deal. When I was looking for used small trucks in Southern Oregon and for $3,000 the trucks where on the market, I’m sure Scotty seen better stuff in junkyards.
If the truck can pass a mechanical inspection and does not look like it’s through an demolition derby, I say buy it
