Asking for my family member. They have a 2002 Silverado 1500 5.3 4wd with 118,000 miles. They have recently had issues with it that it starts and shuts off. They try to use it in the mornings to go to work around 6-7 AM and truck turns on and immediately shuts off and they can’t get it to run. Their son later tries to use it around 10am and it starts up. This has been random for them. No engine/codes.
It has new spark plugs, filters, etc. No one knows what it is, and truck keeps doing it everyday. Please advise.
Does anyone know of other steps to take in order to correct this issue? Have tried everything, New spark plugs, ignition coils, fuel pump, checked wirings. No codes - Everything looks ok according to mechanics. But truck keeps doing this problem. Please advise, don't know what else to do with it.
it sounds like a fuel delivery problem.
Check with a pressure gauge.

Look into the massive GM ignition switch recall
Ive had this issue on another car before where car would immediately turn off after startup. Had something to do with the immobilizer system. Replace your key fob battery.
When was the fuel filter last changed? Check the alternator output and load test the battery.
