2002 toyota 4runner check engine, vsc off, and vsc track light all on. These came on today after I pressed the ECT button while on the highway. Everything seems normal. I did clean the gas cap and replace it but the lights are all still on.

That will get you stored generic codes but will not likely provide any manufacturer-specific codes for VSC, or any freeze-frame or live data.

Yes, if he has a fancy scan tool like the ones Scotty uses.
You could get a free code read at Advance Auto first and see if anything shows up before spending money with your mechanic.
@chucktobias Ok, I called my mechanic and I'm taking it there tomorrow. He won't charge me for that.
