Hi Scotty!

I have a 2002 Toyota Camry automatic with 233,509 miles on it. Last week when going from park to reverse there was hesitation in the car moving. I revved it up slightly and it clunked and went on its way. It had not done it for about a week and then did it again today. I stopped to talk to a neighbor and put the car in park. When I shifted to drive there was hesitation then a clunk and it behaved normally. I hooked up my BlueDriver to it and it gave me code P0755 Shift Solenoid "B". Reading online I see things related to low fluid (my fluid is right on the mark), dirty fluid (my fluid is clean and changed regularly), part neutral switch (unknown), electrical connections (unknown). Have you seen this behavior in this series of Camry before? Any suggestions? Thanks!

Have the Shift Solenoid B, and it's harness, and the electrical connector all tested. The solenoid might be bad. Or it could be the wiring harness brittle has a break or short. Of the connectors are corroded, etc.

I'm not sure, but the solenoid might well be testable via a bidirectional scan tool (by someone who knows what they are doing). The other variables would have to be visually inspected, and assessed also for power and ground.

As Freud said: "Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar." There's probably something going on with that solenoid.
