i have a 2002 VW Beetle that has 234,000 miles on it..runs great still..shfts perfect going down the road..has 1 issue though...when i put it in drive it has like a 4 second delay then it goes in drive...and if im out driving it alot it wont do that at all. seems like once it warms up it wont do it. i only drive it on weekends so it sits alot. other than that it shifts fine. any ideas?

From what I’ve heard from other people with older Volkswagens, it’s normal. Expesially since it has 230k miles it’s pretty old. As long as it shifts good nothing you can do. Just don’t press the throttle until it goes into gear because that can cause more damage.
