Good day all. 2003 Acura MDX with 276k miles. Threw a check engine light for accelerator pedal position sensor. The car would drive but anytime you press hard on the gas pedal it went into a limp mode and be very sluggish. I replaced the accelerator pedal position sensor assembly by the firewall and now it turns on but when you press the gas pedal it doesn't do anything...any thoughts?
Did you install an OEM sensor? If you hook up a scan tool does live data show any response from that sensor?

Aftermarket sensors have a high failure rate. Cheap Chinese knockoffs sold on ebay and Amazon are the worst offenders, but they're all a crap shoot.
