Pros and cons of driving a used 1987 Toyota Camry Le

Hey everybody! I’ve recently came across a used 1987 Toyota Camry LE with 87,000, 2 previous owners, automatic transmission from a reputable car lot near me. A mechanic has looked at it and said everything is sound, so my question is: What are the cons of driving a car of this year and make? I’ve only recently gotten into working on cars, and it seems like the parts market is good enough to learn as I go with this car without breaking the bank. Any insights would be appreciated, as would any maintenance tips for a car of this age! Thanks!

Eccellent cars. But the thing is old as the hills. You buy something that old. Generally all the rubber will be rotten. The engine will start leaking from bad main seals. The transmission will start leaking. The shocks are probably all worn out. I mean if you want a project car and it's cheap enough. Just realize there's going to be a lot of stuff just wearing out from old age. My '94 Corolla is falling apart from old age and yours is 7 years older than that

@scottykilmer Thanks Scotty! I’ll continue my search for something a little more recent, you’re the best!
