I'm considering purchasing a 2003 Cadillac Escalade esv. The owner said the battery is dead and has not been running for the past 6 months, it also needs a new ignition remote key. Are these easy fixes or costly ones? Also how can I know it's not something more serious then the battery besides his word?

The battery is a battery (go to auto part store). The ignition remote key might be pricy. Have a mechanic look it over before buying.

You can't tell anything until you start it and drive it. Why has it been sitting for 6 months? Don't believe ANYTHING the owner says.
