so im having a problem with the truck i just got a new battery cause the old one was leaking acid but now the voltage meter bounces from 14.5v to like 12v and then back to 14.5v.. does this mean my alternator is going out?

Well definitely have your alternator tested out. It's easy to do. But make sure that the battery wires are all on tight and not corroded because if you have a problem with the wiring it will also make it bounce around
