2003 Chrysler mobility van 3.6 V6

Just purchased this van with a rear ramp conversion to enable my wife to ride in it with a wheelchair as she just had a stroke and is unable to walk anymore.

Anyways I do take care of all my vehicle very well and wonder how much maintenance I am going to have to do on it since it has 155,000 miles on it. The seller

changed the cabin filter, the oil and filter and transmission. he also put on new shocks on the rear. It has some rust on it but it runs fine so far.

I have always run ford vehicles, so I don't know anything about Chrysler van at all. The dealer also provided a platinum warrany for a year, so I'm hoping that will cover anything going wrong.

Good luck with that. Those are not known for being particularly reliable, being prone to engine, transmission, and electrical problems - and that thing is already 22 years old going on 23. Did you have a good mechanic check it out before purchase? (Though in a way it's better that the vehicle is on the older side. Chrysler's quality, while not great, was better back then than it is now under Stellantis' watch.)

Just do normal maintenance and hope for the best. Having made it this far that van could well last a while longer if it's been well cared for and is still in good condition.

Best not to just hope, carefully check the warranty contract for terms and conditions. What the sales droid giveth the fine print taketh away.
