Hay scotty I have a 2003 Chrysler PT Cruiser Woody it has 208,000 miles still runs and drives great automatic transmission still shifts great how many more miles do you think it will go going to keep it till it completely quit then probably replace the engine
Hi Brandon...
That's a tough question. These 4 cylinder Chrysler's can seem to run forever but it all depends upon maintenance. Some of that maintenance, such as the water pump and the timing belt, can get expensive. But no matter what the cost of repair it, it's cheaper to do it before something breaks.
Have you replaced the timing belt? At 200k plus if not, it's time. Also do the water pump and pulleys at the same time. There's a kit you can get from Rock Auto for around 150 bucks that has everything. Do this, keep your oil changed, run fuel injector cleaner through it on a regular basis and keep your eye on the gauges. With proper care it wouldn't surprise me if the engine saw 300k
