I have the opportunity to buy a Dodge Durango with 143,000 Miles for $1500. Normally I'm not a fan of Dodge but I feel like an older Dodge is a safer bet than the newer Dodge. Anyways the vehicle is in immaculate condition they obviously took care of it and if you were to see it you would see it looks like brand new inside and out. Do you think $1500 is a good price for the vehicle? Honestly I'm just trying to flip it.
What engine and transmission is that equipped with? 3.9 V6, 4.7 V8, 5.2 V8 or 5.9 V8? 4 or 5 speed auto?
$1500 buys bupkiss in a used vehicle these days. If it runs and drives OK and a mechanic says it's OK sounds like a deal. If it lasts just a year or two you're ahead of the game.
It's a good price. Have a mechanic look it over, take it for a test drive and do a compression test on the engine to make sure it's working properly.
