2003 dodge neon se .
2003 dodge neon se . Recently replaced engine dude to head gasket blown . Engine was used but had all tests passed. Didn’t have any issues other than that .
It’s now having a hard time idling when starting .
Once it reaches operating temp it drives just fine . Also noticing a strong smell of exhaust outside of the car which never happened before .
Throttle body replaced
02 sensors replaced ( even tho check engine is still throwing sensor codes )
Any idea ? It almost feels like a pulse at idle when starting car .
Check for the fuel injectors and spark plugs.
I also have some other questions:
- What is the current mileage after the motor swap?
- Where particularly did you buy this motor?
- What codes are being thrown?
- Did you check for any leaks on the car?
The current mileage is roughly 170,000
The motor was bought at B&R WRECKING
ONLY CODES 02 sensors which both have been replaced
There are zero leaks
