GM released the Chevy 632 cubic inch (10 liter) V8 engine- rated at 1004 hp. and 876 ft. lb. torque. Compared to the Chrysler Hellephant HEMI 426 which has 1000 hp. and 950 ft. lb. torque, which is engine would be faster? I also want to know what transmission could possibly take that much horsepower and torque. Could this even be put inside today's Corvette, Charger or Challenger if done correctly from the factory?

Speed has to do with design not just hp. So it all depends on what transmission is hooked up what gear ratio is all kinds of stuff they're both insanely fast motors that would get horrendous gas mileage. And yeah they better be hooked up to a good transmission I would burn out look at the new Corvettes already having transmission problems on d the new ones
