Could I get recommendations from experience on a code scanners to work best with the 2003 dodge Ram 3500 5.9L Automatic Diesel? I am reading in reviews that some scanners don't work as they claim to with the diesel models and when I look up the compatibility on manufacturer websites like xtool, autel, or innova that some don't go back to that year or might not have access to all the modules like transmission etc.. Do I need a heavy duty truck specific scan tool? I would prefer one with all system bidirectional functionality and the lower price the better. Rather than trial and error I thought it would be easier to just ask here? Thanks..
