What are your thoughts for a used 2003 Ford crown vic police interceptor. i am planning to junk my 2005 Chevy Malibu (classic). what are your thoughs on the crown vic as a daily driver?.
I HAVE A 2003 POLICE INTERCEPTOR I BOUGHT LAST YEAR WITH 44.K MILES ON IT. THEY ARE THE LAST OF THE CABLE GAS PEDAL NOT DRIVE BY WIRE. SO THEY HAVE LESS ELECTRONICS TO GO SOUTH. SOME OF THE P71 COLLECTORS LIKE THE 2003 AND 2004 MODELS FOR THAT REASON, PLUS PARTS ARE EASY TO GET. YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT THE CONDITION OF THE CAR. HIGHER MILE CARS MAY HAVE TRANSMISSION ISSUES BUT SOME GOV. OWNED CARS ARE SERVICED EVERY 3500 TO 5000 MILES AND THEY TAKE CARE OF THAT KIND OF STUFF OR JUST SELL AS IS. BUYER BEWARE DO YOUR HOME WORK
Hi. Please turn off your caps lock key when you type here. Thanks.
Make sure to check not just the mileage, but the idle hours. A lot of those cars idle for thousands of hours and it puts wear on the motor, so take that into consideration.
They are a solid platform though.
