Stereo cuts out

Hey All so about a week or two ago the sound on my 03 automatic g35 sedan cut out. At first I thought it was the amp nut after plugging in 3 factory amps that work and still no sound I have come to believe it is the head unit. The display and buttons and AC still work but the sound rarely ever comes on when it does I have no control of the volume on either the HU or the steering wheel control. Other than that it's an occasional popping noise from speakers followed by silence.. any suggestions on the most economical fix. Someone told me I could just buy a factory bose head unit and plug It in. But I was wondering if I was able to just buy a Metra kit and a cheap radio and keep bose amp and speakers. Is this possible? I don't want to put to much money into the car as I don't know how much life is left in it

Please get back to me with any helpful info thanks in advance

Sure, amps work on any kind of systems. I would just get a cheaper unit and hook it up to those speakers and amps

Hey Scott so I bought two separate factory amps and plugged em..no fix..they said next issue with be within the head unit. Any experience replacing an 03 G35 Head unit?
