Hey Scotty,

I was interested in this 2003 Honda Element with 70k mi for $3000. The seller said the problems its has is the A/C is completely gone(stopped working), the catalytic converter was stolen so he welded a straight pipe so it wouldn't be loud, the key broke in the ignition so the ignition and had to be replaced so now the car has 2 different keys and the battery has been inexplicably draining if left sitting for more than overnight. Should I run or consider still purchasing it, fix the problems and use it as a daily commuter? I wanted a Scion but the best looking ones (08'-15')  has the 2AZ-FE oil burners in them. There's no other engine options other than the 2.4L. I need your help.

The idea of using a 20-year-old Honda that already has multiple problems as a daily commuter is probably not a good one. The claimed low mileage while not impossible is questionable (3500 miles/year).
