Is a 2003 maxima with 108k miles being sold for $2500 worth the buy? Also are they expensive in maintenance, parts and repairs?

They are expensive to keep going past the 100k mark. I would pass personally.

Its old 18 years old but 2003 is the last year they were well made. Bring it to a mechanic and check if the automatic transmission is good. If EVERYTHING is in GOOD shape, then offer him no more than 2k. They are ok. The one's after 2003 are piles of junk anyway's if I had to buy a Nissan I would buy a 2001-2002.

Nissans after year 2000s is a gamble. We don't know how much Renault started changing the Nissans.
